6-Step Fertilizer Schedule

Build a weed and pest-free lawn using our custom fertilizer program.

If you don't want to use synthetic fertilizer on your lawn, then
ask about our 8-Step Organic Program.

Crabgrass Pre-Emergent

Step 1

Once the forsythia begins to wane, it's time for Step 1.
Pre-emergent herbicides are chemicals that prevent undesired weeds in your lawn. They do not prevent the germination of the seed, but help control it so that it will not sprout.

Apr. 1-15

Broadleaf Weed & Feed

Step 2

Next, we work on enhancing turf color and density using a complete fertilizer with quick and controlled release material. This is also where we start defeating those dandelions, clover and other nuisance weeds with our broadleaf weed control.

May 1-15

Organic Fertilizer w. Insect & Grub Control

Step 3

Say bye-bye to the June beetle, Japanese beetle, masked chafer, annual bluegrass weevil, and other soil inhabiting pests. This treatment also takes care of damage done by surface-feeding pests including billbugs, chinch bugs, cutworms, and sod webworms.
We also apply organic fertilizer to enhance turf color and vigor.

June 15-30

Organic Fertilizer & Spot Spraying

Step 4

Summer-time can be stressful on turf, so to mitigate damage to your lawn, Vision Land & WaterScapes applies an organic based product and spot sprays lingering weeds.

Aug. 15-31

Fertilizer w. Iron

Step 5

We continue to enhance turf color and density through complete controlled-release fertilizer with iron to help revitalize your grass after the summer burn.

Sep. 15-30

Winterizing Fertilizer

Step 6

Before your lawn goes into hibernation, we give it a slow-release application to enhance winter root development and provide stores of energy for early spring green-up.
